Santa Fe’s iconic Burning of Zozobra returns for its 101st year on Friday, August 29, 2025, and tickets go on sale March 14. Just a scenic drive from Ruidoso, this annual tradition attracts thousands to Fort Marcy Park, eager to watch Old Man Gloom — a towering 50-foot puppet — go up in flames, taking everyone’s worries with him.
Organized since 1964 by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, Zozobra’s burning not only offers an entertaining night out but also supports local children’s programs.
