Zozobra Centennial Documentary

The 100th burning of Zozobra inspired the creation of Zozobra: 100 Years of Fire & Redemption, a 42-minute documentary from Hutton Films that traces Old Man Gloom’s journey from a humble artistic experiment to a now beloved cultural phenomenon. The film brings to life the stories of those who’ve kept this uniquely New Mexican tradition burning bright.

Recently featured as the opening selection at the 25th Santa Fe Film Festival, the documentary earned the coveted Best Story award. Hutton Broadcasting received recognition as a Top Supporter and Partner, highlighting their contribution to preserving this vital piece of New Mexico’s cultural landscape.
