Once you’re ready for a break from shopping, you can get some delicious food at the food court. Be sure to bring the kids to enjoy Christmas stories and crafts. They can even visit with Santa Claus himself! The annual Christmas Jubilee takes place November 10 12, at the Ruidoso Convention Center.

Admission is $5. Children under 12 and military personnel with ID are free. Proceeds from the Christmas Jubilee are pledged back to charitable organizations in Lincoln County such as the Humane Society, Lincoln County Food Bank, Roadrunner Food Bank, Joseph’s Workshop, Adult Literacy, Food 4 Kids Backpack Program, COPE, the Nest, building the mural on the Fire Station, the pavilion at Two Rivers Park, and the playground at White Mountain Schools to name a few.

In the 35 years since the first jubilee, The Greeters donated almost a half million dollars back to the community by pledging money to these charities.

Who are The Greeters, you might ask? It’s a volunteer group that helps support businesses in the county by holding ribbon cuttings for new businesses, presenting surprise monthly Champion of Service Awards to employees who go ”above and beyond” the customer’s expectations, attending Business After Hours event when local businesses stay open later to celebrate with food and friendship, and organizing the Christmas Jubilee.
