A One-of-a-Kind Opportunity for Young Artists in Ruidoso
Are you a young artist in Ruidoso looking to turn your passion into a future? New Mexico School for the Arts (NMSA)in Santa Fe offers an unparalleled opportunity to combine intensive arts training with a strong academic education. As the state’s only four-year, statewide public high school dedicated to the arts, NMSA welcomes talented students from across New Mexico, including Southern New Mexico and the Ruidoso area.
Pre-Professional Arts Training with Academic Excellence
Students in grades 9-12 receive focused instruction in Creative Writing & Literature, Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts from master teachers and professional artists. Every day, they dedicate three hours to developing their artistic skills while excelling in a rigorous academic curriculum.
A Pathway for Students Outside of Santa Fe
Students who live more than 65 miles from Santa Fe, including those in Ruidoso, can attend NMSA through the Residential Program, a safe and supportive housing option located in Santa Fe’s Railyard District. Opened in 2024, this state-of-the-art facility ensures that students from all over New Mexico can access NMSA’s unique education.
- Five-Day Option: Housing during the school week for students living more than 65 miles away.
- Seven-Day Option: Full-time housing, including weekends, for students living more than 125 miles away.
